1. Information We Collect
When you use TrueSoulMatch™, we may collect the following types of information:
- Name, age, gender, contact details
- Profile photos and personal descriptions
- Educational and professional background
- Family details and preferences
- Government ID for verification purposes
- Device information and IP address
- Usage patterns and app interactions
- Location data (with your permission)
1a. Face Data (Photo Verification)
To confirm that a member is a real person and that their profile photo is genuinely of them, TrueSoulMatch™ offers an optional photo verification step. If you choose to complete it, we collect the following face data:
- A selfie photograph that you capture in the app
- A photograph of you holding your government ID, where you submit one for identity verification
How it is used. These images are used for one purpose only: to compare the face in your selfie with the face on your ID photograph, and to confirm the photo shows a real human face. The comparison is performed by Amazon Web Services (AWS) Rekognition. The result we keep is a similarity score and a pass or fail status. We do not use face data for advertising, for matchmaking, for training any model, or to identify you anywhere outside your own account.
Sharing and storage. Face data is shared with one processor, AWS, and with no one else. It is never sold, and never disclosed to other members, advertisers, or data brokers. Processing and storage both take place in the AWS Asia Pacific (Mumbai) ap-south-1 region in India. AWS Rekognition performs a stateless image-to-image comparison: no facial template, faceprint, or biometric vector is created or retained by AWS. The images themselves are stored in our private AWS S3 storage and are not publicly accessible.
Retention and deletion. Your verification images are retained for as long as your account exists, so that we can re-check a verification badge if it is disputed. When you delete your account, the selfie and the selfie-with-ID image are permanently deleted from our storage along with the rest of your data. You may also request deletion of your face data at any time, without deleting your account, by writing to the contact address below; removing it will withdraw your verified badge.

We use your information to:
- Create and maintain your matrimonial profile
- Provide matchmaking and recommendation services
- Verify your identity for safety and authenticity
- Facilitate communication between members
- Improve our services and user experience
- Send important updates about your account
- Ensure platform safety and prevent misuse
3. Information Sharing
With Other Users: Your profile information is visible to other verified members as part of our matchmaking service.
With Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third-party services for verification, payment processing, and platform maintenance.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our users' safety.
We Do NOT: Sell your personal information to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:

6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal or safety reasons.
7. Children's Privacy
TrueSoulMatch™ is intended for users who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18 years of age.
8. International Users
TrueSoulMatch™ is primarily designed for users in India. If you access our service from other countries, your data may be transferred to and processed in India.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date.
